Two new bills introduced in the Nevada Legislature aim to address issues related to sex offenses and prostitution, with a focus on expanding offender registration and protecting victims of sex trafficking.
Assembly Bill 151, sponsored by northern Nevada assemblyman Ken Gray, seeks to broaden the scope of sex offender registration and community notification requirements. Under current law, individuals convicted of crimes against children, defined as offenses against victims under 18, are classified as Tier II offenders. The proposed legislation would classify customers convicted of soliciting a child for prostitution as Tier II offenders, aligning them with existing registration and notification protocols.
The bill also proposes to amend the definition of “sexual offense” to include solicitation for prostitution by a customer, even when it does not involve a child. This change would subject offenders to the same employment prohibitions, registration requirements, and mandatory probation or parole conditions as those convicted of other sexual offenses.
A second bill, Assembly Bill 209, sponsored by assemblymember David Orentlicher, aims to protect victims and witnesses of serious violent crimes from prosecution if they are involved in prostitution. Under state law, peace officers are required to provide information about assistance programs to individuals detained, arrested, or cited for prostitution-related offenses. Prosecutors must dismiss charges if they believe the individual is a victim of sex trafficking.

and protect trafficking victims
While trafficking victims under the biggest extortion racket in history!! In plain sight.
I thought customers ‘convicted of soliciting a child for prostitution’ was a registrable offense everywhere. Although I believe any new laws are bad, Nevada is only catching up to its peers.
As always, where are all the victims? Another absurd suggestion that there are millions, upon million of Relentless, Fearless, Heartless Sexual Predators roaming around the country unwilling and/or incapable of controlling their compulsion to sexually assault children.
Where are the 10’s/100’s of millions of victims of this? How is it possible that we could have these nearly unimaginably vast legions of predators, without countless victims of this?
Best to not ask, and just presume that this is all real? Just presume that there are enough Blood Libels to explain everything, but only just enough. Not the countless millions one would presume, but just bearly enough to make this real? How is that presumption rational?
Also, best to presume that it is completely possible for the millions of predators to keep their crimes completely invisible for decades. Just presume it is totally plausible that hundreds, maybe thousands, of kids are snatched right off the street every single day all over the nation, and nothing is ever said by anyone. How is that not straight up 🦇💩?
I hope, but seriously doubt, that our Judiciary finds some reason to question these presumptions.
It started with the left using the term “ whore”. Then came a more civilized “Prostitute”. Next the left thought maybe “sex worker” would bring some understanding to their situation. Now both sides have settled on “trafficked” to encompass every person that has anything to do with either selling by choice or force, a sexual service. Isn’t OnlyFans or any other online “ service” guilty of this. They offer a person for a fee. Often taking more than 50% of it. Talk about human trafficking!
Bill Maher had a funny segment on his show where he listed over 40 mainstream known actresses that have played “ trafficked” women. Any of these are the same women that lambasted Weinstien for his actions and protest the same actions that they have portrayed to young female viewers. By glorifying it, isn’t this contributing to the issue they say they want to stop?
I live in Nevada. This is the only state in the country where brothels are legal. So apparently human trafficking only legal when it’s state approved, regulated, and generates the state a profit. Go figure.
See NRS 179D.0357 for the definition of “Crime against a child.” The article is a little misleading for those not familiar with the nuances of NV statutes.
Also, what exactly are we writing, calling and showing up about?
“The bill also proposes to amend the definition of “sexual offense” to include solicitation for prostitution by a customer, even when it does not involve a child. This change would subject people to the same employment prohibitions, registration requirements, and mandatory probation or parole conditions as those convicted of other sexual offenses.”
Does that mean they plan to shut down Sheri’s and the Chicken Ranch? Those were the days 🤭for the Doc during my Vegas trips in the 80s.
Oh, look!
More laws to “protect” children.
Never had that before!
This will absolutely be successful!

How many are truly victims? How many are down on their luck, have an addiction to feed, or just into the lifestyle? Government needs to stay out of other’s sex lives especially regarding two adults.
